I apologize for my long absence from posting. This school year has been hectic and I've had to put blogging to the side. I hope to post more in the coming months. Please let me know if you would like me to write about anything in particular! You can contact me through the "About" page above.
In my next few posts, I plan to discuss some of the ways that we can bring our children closer to God by making prayer more of a part of their lives. We are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 that we are to "pray without ceasing". Starting habits of prayer early in your children's lives can help to lead them down the path of regular daily prayer as they mature in faith.
Working with the Strong Catholic Families group at our parish school, we created a summer activity book with a "Passport" theme, with the idea that intentional activities with your family, especially in the summer months, can form deep roots of spirituality and faith that will have positive effects throughout your children's lifetimes.
Families can complete the activities in the book, and then write the name of each activity and the date completed on a visa stamp in their passport. At our parish school, there will be prizes handed out for completed activities and passports.
